Admission Procedure
At St. John’s Matric Hr. Sec. School, our admission process is transparent, student-friendly, and inclusive. We welcome students from all backgrounds who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a nurturing academic environment. Admissions are based on seat availability, academic merit, and age eligibility.
Admission Phases
Phase I – May Session
- Applicable for
- Pre-KG to Class IX
- Class XI (After SSLC results)
- Admissions open in the month of May every academic year.
Phase II – Vijayadasami Admissions
- Applicable for
- Special admission slots are available during Vijayadasami, considered an auspicious time to begin early education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Pre-KG: Minimum age of 2.5 years
- LKG: Minimum age of 3+ years
- Class I: Minimum age of 5+ years
- Higher classes: Based on Transfer Certificate and successful completion of the previous class
- Class XI: Admission is offered based on Class X board exam results and subject preference
Documents Required (Photocopies / Xerox)
Students must submit the following documents at the time of admission:
- Student’s Aadhaar Card
- Recent Passport Size Photograph (2 copies)
- Birth Certificate
- Community Certificate (if applicable)
- Parent’s Aadhaar Card
- Transfer Certificate (TC) – For students transferring from another school
- Marksheet – For Class XI admissions
- Medical Certificate (if any health condition needs to be declared)
Note: Originals must be presented for verification during admission.
Admission Steps
Enquiry & Counseling
- Visit the school or contact the office to inquire about admissions. Our counselor will assist with class placement and eligibility.
Application Form Submission
- Collect the form from the office or download it online (if available). Submit the filled application with necessary documents.
Interaction/Screening (If Required)
- For select classes, a simple written test or student-teacher interaction may be conducted to assess learning readiness.
Confirmation & Fee Payment
- Upon selection, parents must pay the prescribed admission fee and term fee within the given deadline to confirm the seat.
Welcome Kit & Orientation
- After admission, parents will receive orientation details, school rules, and access to the School Diary & App.
