Appeal to Parents
Appeal to Parents

At St. John’s Matric Hr. Sec. School, we firmly believe that parents are vital partners in a child’s educational journey. While we strive to provide the best academic and developmental environment at school, the support and involvement of parents at home are equally important to ensure a student’s success.

Home–School Partnership

We appeal to all parents to work hand-in-hand with us in the following areas:

Monitor Academic Progress

  • Regularly check your child’s School Diary, homework, and assignments.
  • Review monthly and term progress reports and help your child improve.

Encourage Consistent Attendance

  • Avoid unnecessary leave, especially during teaching days and assessments.
  • Ensure your child arrives *on time* every day and attends school in full uniform.

Support School Activities

  • Motivate your child to actively participate in school functions, sports events, competitions, and co-curricular activities.

Maintain Discipline at Home

  • Reinforce school rules and values such as punctuality, respect, honesty, and responsibility.

Promote Healthy Habits

  • Encourage neatness, hygiene, and personal grooming (trimmed nails, clean uniforms, healthy diet).

Ensure Fee Payments on Time

  • Please pay tuition and term fees as scheduled in July, October, and January to avoid late fees or examination restrictions.

Follow Communication Protocols

  • For any concerns, kindly meet the Principal, Correspondent, or Administrative Officer during office hours.
  • Do not enter classrooms or speak directly with teachers during school hours.

Prepare for Examinations

  • Help your child prepare for tests and exams by scheduling regular study hours at home.
  • Create a peaceful study environment that is free from distractions.

Teach Responsibility

  • Instruct your child to take care of books, belongings, and school property.
  • Avoid sending them with gold ornaments or expensive items.

Stay Connected

  • Use the School App or diary regularly to stay informed about updates, circulars, and events.

By working together with mutual respect and shared responsibility, we can ensure that your child receives the best educational experience and is shaped into a confident, disciplined, and capable individual.

"Let us be the roots that ground them, and the wings that help them soar."
